Calverhall

Architect Charles Moorhead designed this newly constructed custom home. The unique, interesting, and functional home takes a different approach, now aligned north-south on the lot, thus creating a large and inviting west-facing side yard. We worked carefully and closely with the homeowner to construct a “green” home, by adhering to best practices for eco-friendly custom home building.

 Care was taken when demolishing the old home, recycling materials where possible. New construction included energy-efficient features such as an insulated concrete foundation, hot water on demand, and a heat pump. These efforts paid off with an EnerGuide rating of 86, and a “Built Green” designation.
